Co-Ownership mortgages
Co-Ownership lets you buy a share of your home and rent the rest, so you need a smaller deposit and a smaller mortgage.
A way onto the ladder with a smaller deposit
You buy a share of the property with a mortgage and pay rent on the share you don't own. Later, you can usually buy more shares until you own your home outright. We'll advise on the mortgage for your share and help you understand how it all fits together.
How we help
- Explain how Co-Ownership works alongside your mortgage
- Find lenders that accept Co-Ownership purchases
- Help with the mortgage when you buy more shares later
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
Questions people ask
Can I buy more of my home later?
Usually yes — this is called 'staircasing', and we can help arrange the extra borrowing.
